Keeping You Informed about the SBA Payroll Protection Program

The SBA announced earlier that the general fund for PPP loans has officially run out. CACU will no longer be accepting new applications for these loans. We are unsure whether the government will open the program again in the future for a third round. There are no definite discussions about it at this time.

Financial Institutions designated as Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) still have access to PPP funds through the end of May, or as soon as that separate fund runs out. Since CACU is not designated as a CDFI, the program has ended for us. For information on the PPP loan program, you may visit the SBA website (www.sba.gov ) for more information on how to find a CDFI.

1st Draw PPP Loan:

  • 1st Draw PPP Application
  • 2019 OR 2020 Personal and Business Tax Returns
  • 2019 OR 2020 IRS Quarterly 940 or 941s (four quarters)
  • 2019 OR 2020 Payroll related records (employer paid health insurance, employer 401K contributions)
  • Updated Driver’s License copy

2nd Draw PPP Loan:

  • 2nd Draw PPP Application
  • 2019 OR 2020 Personal and Business Tax Returns
  • 2019 OR 2020 IRS Quarterly 940 or 941s (four quarters)
  • 2019 OR 2020 Payroll related records (employer paid health insurance, employer 401K contributions)
  • P&L for any quarter in 2019 and the corresponding quarter in 2020 that demonstrates at least 25% reduction in gross receipts year over year *
  • Updated Driver’s License copy

If you are a single employee business who files a Schedule C with your personal tax return, the application process is even simpler!  

NOTE for 2nd Draw Applicants only: If your 2020 Schedule C does not demonstrate at least 25% reduction in gross receipts from your 2019 Schedule C, you may provide P&L for any quarter in 2019 and the corresponding quarter in 2020 that proves at least 25% reduction in gross receipts year over year.
